This short pamphlet was issued by the Committee on Jaffrey History which was appointed in March, 1926. It appears that this was the Committee's only publication under its name although it oversaw the preparation (though not the publication) of the History of Jaffrey, Volumes I and II. The members included:
        Mrs. Kate A. Townsend, Chairman
        George H. Duncan, Treasurer
        Mrs. Mary K. Hutchinson, Secretary
        Mrs. Abby Underwood Day
        Miss Kate W. Fox
        Albert Annett, Historian
        Alice E. E. Lehtinen, Assistant

James Steven's diary also appeared as Chapter XLIII in Volume I of the History of Jaffrey (1937).

The format is modern commentary interspersed with selections from the diary.
